Welcome!
Our winehouse is located in a cultural historical significant territory in Middle - Germany with a more than one thousand years old wine growing tradition (first documented mention in the year 998 by emperor Otto III), sited on the 51th degree of Latitude. So it's the northernmost certified quality wine growing territory of Europe - named after the two rivers Saale - Unstrut.
Our ancestors settled in 1669 in the village Schleberoda near Freyburg/Unstrut and pursue agri- and viniculture. In 1998 the old tradition of our family experienced a come back - in idyllic landscape on sunny ground we recultivated a single vineyard with two hectares land. Prevalent micro - climate and the shell lime (stone) weathering ground offer ideal conditions for the best grapes quality. The yield of average 55 hectolitres per hectare emphasize the self setting purpose by the grapes production. We produce pure, fresh, specietypical wines. Preconditions for this is the selective vintage by hand and quick working up in an after the modern technique procedure producing company. Proportionate to demand of our clients we let produce the wines of the types Dornfelder, Weissburgunder, Bacchus and Riesling in dry, medium-dry and medium-sweet. In future our collection will extend by the types Regent and Riesling.
For winetastings (after appointment) we can offer the visitors out hall/terrace (approximately 50 people), the wine cellat (app. 10 people) and our wineyard (app. 60 people).
